20th Jan 2010

The PR process was broken down into various segment of: research, analysism goal setting, objective, etc.

The components that left a deeper impression are: "SWOT" and "SMART".

Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat draw the outline when analysis the product, allowing the personnel to stay focus on the field.

Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reasonable and Time define the Objective of a task/ project ensure it remain challenging yet realistic.

The guides were reflected during the workshop where everyone picked a PR example of any category found on www.lib.uts.edu.au/gta/ and shared it with the rest of the class. It might be a little hard to identify the element, but it comes naturally when one gotten the hang of it.

Cheers =)

  1. I personally feel that the SWOT is a very useful acronym that can guide us. The process is quite similar to other goal settings and not just to the PR but can be used as our personal goal setting as well. Short and sweet summary of week 2's class!
