The first theory mentioned within Chapter 3 of the week's reading is "Systems Theory". It's a self-regulation and control hierarchy system used in Public Relations scholarship and practice.
The principle of this pretty similar to the concept mentioned within James Cameron's Avatar.

Na'vi being the natives of Planet Pandora interact with their environment where it strives for balances such that is remain self-sustain.

The hierarchy system lay out its protocal and the next-command in lie allowing work to be done in a systematic manner.

The self regulating nature of the theory not only allows the corporation to operation in minimum governance (by the top management), it also enable the orgnisation to adapt quickly to the external environment, increasing its survivability in the ever changing global environment.

  1. It's interesting how you relate what we learn to Avatar. Great movie! haha... that aside, a self-regulating theory indeed has its benefits and allows minimal fuss and control.

  2. I agree that self-regulation theory is really important because in this current day, no one likes to be controlled so strictly. Therefore, this self-regulation theory somehow enables things to be done in a more efficient manner whereby out put is maximum and welfare of the members are well taken care of. However, I feel that it really depends on one's determination to be able to sustain.
